External Hemroids

This is another picture of external hemroids. Note the bright red color of the hemroids. Also, note how the hemroids is ruptured (most propably by the passage of hard stools) exposing the red blood which causes anal bleeding with passing stools.

Most cases of external hemroids are not associated with anal bleeding in contrast to internal hemroids in which anal bleeding is the most common symptom.

However, in external hemroids, when they rupture, bleeding occurs and may be severe but is usually self-limited.
