Internal and External Hemroids

This picture shows that both types of hemroids, internal hemroids and external hemroids are present at the same time.
External hemroids can be seen as skin tags around the anus and internal hemroids are evident as congested masses protruding from the anus to appear externally i.e. these are prolapsed internal hemroids.
As you know, the mechanism of development of both types of hemroids, internal and external, is the same, so it is usual to see both types present together.
